Jai Swaminarayan. This policy explains what the HSAPSS Ohio app (the “App”) does with information. The App is provided by HSAPSS Ohio (Haridham Ohio), 4755 Jeannette Road, Hilliard, OH 43026. The App is a companion for our weekly sabha and chapter: it shows chapter information and lets devotees request and vote on bhajans and read bhajan lyrics.
Information the App uses
- Optional name. When you request a bhajan you may enter a name. If you do, it is shown next to your request to others using the App that evening and is stored with that evening’s request list. You can leave it blank.
- Bhajan requests and votes. The bhajans requested and the votes cast are stored in that evening’s shared list so everyone sees the same queue. Votes are not tied to a name or account.
- Settings on your device. The App remembers things like your language choice, text size, which bhajans you voted for, and a saved copy of the chapter information, stored only on your device.
Information the App does not collect
- No account, email address, phone number or password.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
- No payment information. The App does not process payments or donations.
- No advertising identifiers, analytics or tracking of your activity across other apps or websites.
Where information is stored
The shared bhajan request list and the bhajan audio are stored with Microsoft Azure cloud storage in the United States. Bhajan titles and lyrics are retrieved from a service operated for HSAPSS on Amazon Web Services. These providers store the data for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
How long information is kept
Each evening’s request list is kept as a record for that sabha date and may be deleted at any time. If you would like a name you entered removed, contact us (see below) and tell us the date and the name.
Sharing
We do not sell your information and do not share it with advertisers. The optional name and requests you enter are visible to other people using the App during that sabha, which is how the shared list works.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only free-text field is the optional name; parents can ask us to remove any entry.
Links to other sites
The App links to our websites (haridhamoh.org and hsapss.org) and to Apple Maps for directions. Those sites and services have their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the App does with information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
